Eligibility for admission to Kai Ping Culinary School:
The applicants are foreign students, and they must meet the following requirements:
- Possess foreign nationality and have never held Republic of China nationality, and do not qualify as overseas Chinese students at the time of application.
- Possess foreign nationality and have resided continuously overseas (referring to countries or regions other than Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau) for at least six years, and have never studied in Taiwan as an overseas Chinese student nor been placed in a school in Taiwan by the University Entrance Committee For Overseas Chinese Students during the academic year of application:
- Applicants who also hold Republic of China nationality at the time of application must never have been registered as a resident in Taiwan.
- Applicants who previously held Republic of China nationality must have renounced their Republic of China nationality for at least eight years as of the date of application, with approval from the Ministry of the Interior.
- Possess foreign nationality, along with permanent residency in Hong Kong or Macau, and have never been registered as a resident in Taiwan, having resided continuously in Hong Kong, Macau, or overseas for at least six years at the time of application.
- Former residents of Mainland China with foreign nationality who have never been registered as residents in Taiwan and have resided continuously overseas for more than six years at the time of application.
- The student’s nationality must be among the visa-exempt countries listed in the “List of Visa-Exempt Countries for Foreign Nationals Visiting Taiwan” on the official website of the Bureau of Consular Affairs, MOFA.
- The applicants are students from Hong Kong or Macau who must be residents of Hong Kong or Macau, possess permanent residency documents from Hong Kong or Macau, and have resided continuously abroad (countries or regions outside of Taiwan) for at least six years.

3. Participate in online/in-person information sessions and interviews
- After receiving the documents, teachers will contact and invite the students and their parents to participate in online or in-person course briefings and discussions.
※The minimum language requirement for admission is an interview in both languages by external faculty assessing speaking skills at the CEFR A2 level. This skill level serves as the baseline for testing their written English abilities, with adaptive counseling interviews as the method of selection.
4. Receive a qualification confirmation email.
5. Proceed with registration > Freshman enrollment > Parents participate in a three-day parent-child orientation program.
6. Congratulations! You are now a prospective student at Kai Ping Culinary School.
